The New Zealand Tree Register

All trees submitted to the Trust, including unverified trees, are held on this register. Unverified trees are provisional listings that are currently being processed or require updating because the tree needs to be remeasured. Prior to adding a new tree all recorders should search the database to ensure the tree does not already exist. If the tree is on the database, recorders can simply update the record. 
 

Notable Trees of New Zealand (Currently not available)

Trees identified as having notable characteristics are to be found here, i.e. age, tallest, largest, historical, rare etc. A vetting process is used to determine notable status.
 

Champion Trees of New Zealand (Currently not available)

A ranking of New Zealand's top trees by species is listed here. Trees receive points by combining the measurement of their height, girth and canopy spread.
 

Historical Tree Records (Currently not available)

Notification of trees' no longer existing will result in records being sent to this register. Historical records of trees may also be entered into this database.
